ccounts Receivable Specialist

LHH Recruitment is currently looking for an Account Receivable Specialist for a Legal Client in Kansas City, MO. In this role you will be responsible for managing a high volume of accounts receivable functions to support client payments. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of high-volume accounts receivable experience, ideally with a bachelors degree and exposure to legal/settlement accounting. This is a direct hire opportunity working on-site with pay starting at $55k annually and going up based on experience. Read below for additional details!

Key Responsibilities:

• Make daily bank deposits for multiple entities and record ACH activity

• Resolve returned deposits across accounting systems

• Scan and index checks prior to deposit

• Handle litigation requests and process operating and mass tort payments

• Reconcile settlement-related account activity

• Process IOLTA disbursement and check deposit request forms

• Analyze accounting data to resolve open or pending issues

• Make electronic deposits via banking portals

• Respond to inquiries in the shared email inbox

• Participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of full cycle accounts receivable or settlement experience

• Proficient computer skills with MS Office, accounting software and databases.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
