LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a non profit organization in the Kansas City Metro, that is looking to add to their team as a Staff Accountant.

Accounts Payable and Reconciliation:

• Review and oversee accounts payable and receipting entries completed by specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Process, code, and record complex invoices and reimbursement requests, maintaining consistency with accounting standards.

• Perform bank reconciliations for assigned and non-assigned locations, ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected.

Tax and Journal Entries:

• File monthly sales tax returns for applicable units, adhering to regulatory deadlines and requirements.

• Prepare and input journal entries in accordance with established accounting procedures.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Review and reconcile ledgers associated with various funds and accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to maintain financial integrity.

• Prepare and compile monthly financial statements for review by the Accounting Manager, with a goal of final completion by the 15th of each month.

Budget Management:

• Input annual and revised budgets for corps/units into the accounting software, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

• Prepare written reviews of budget variances on a monthly basis and as needed, providing insights into financial performance.
