Title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Hudson County, NJ

Our client is looking for a strategic Sourcing/Procurement Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to join a tenured team with a fantastic company culture while contributing to impactful organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with departments to identify suppliers and meet procurement needs

  • Negotiate the best prices for non-bid transactions and analyze RFX results to secure optimal outcomes

  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring excellent performance and adherence to terms

  • Interpret and enforce procurement policies, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Train stakeholders on procurement systems like eProcurement and travel management tools

  • Audit supplier files for regulatory compliance and verify business statuses against federal and state databases

  • Collaborate with the sourcing team on key initiatives, reporting, and driving organizational success

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or supply management preferred

  • Experience: At least 3 years in procurement, with knowledge of Certificates of Insurance, W9s, and eProcurement systems (Unipart experience a plus)

  • Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and analytical skills, along with excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities

  • Certifications: C.P.M. or C.P.S.M. (preferred)

  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a team-player mindset

Pay Details: $25.00 to $38.00 per hour
