LHH has partnered with a manufacturing company based in Kent, WA for a talented Cyber Security Systems Analyst. This role is responsible for providing cyber security systems oversight, systems administration, user support, and assisting the Senior Information Systems Manager with research, analysis, and the procurement and inventory management of information technology-related hardware and software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.

  • Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

  • Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.

  • Implements security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.

  • Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.

  • Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.

  • Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status.

  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

  • Ensures NIST 800-171 compliance by maintaining technical knowledge and understanding of requirements, providing oversight and expertise, and reporting system enhancements completed upon any changes.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance, back-up, and recovery activities.

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT components, including hardware, software, network, printers, audio/visual equipment, and other peripherals.

  • Distribute software updates and patches to maintain system security.

  • Conduct systems upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.

  • Perform routine security audits, reporting the results quarterly.

  • Coordinate technical support requests, document and track problems and inquiries.

  • Train users in the proper operation and use of new and updated software applications, security requirements, and other applicable processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues relative to all corporate software in a timely manner.

  • Administer email and anti-virus systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience:

  • Prior experience working within Cyber Security within a regulated DoD capacity

  • Systems administration, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting/problem solving.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SQL, and SonicWall configuration and management (alternatives available).

  • Understanding of network protocols, security, and information security policies.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, particularly Made2Manage, which is designed for discrete manufacturers in made-to-order and mixed-mode environments.

  • On-call network troubleshooting and firewall administration, including DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Programs.

  • Configuration and management of routers, hubs, and switches.

  • Process improvement.

  • Understanding of mobile technology and operating systems (i.e., Android, iOS, Windows), VMware technology, and Unix, including basic Unix commands.

Certifications:

  • Holds DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) at the start date, ensuring compliance with DoD training and certification requirements.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • CCP - CMCC

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills necessary to effectively carry out detailed and complicated written or oral instructions.

  • Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple work assignments.

  • Organized work habits and able to work independently.

  • Experience with Mac and Windows operating systems, desktop operating systems, networking principles, and MS applications.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems with a forensic approach to software, hardware, and networks.

  • Able to provide exceptional customer service and interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Able to analyze situations, research problems, and provide solutions to internal and external customers.

Salary: $85,000 - 95,000

Role Type: Permanent, Direct Hire

Location: Kent, WA - onsite
