Part Time- Temporary Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company that is located Kingwood, NJ. We are seeking a part-time Accounting Manager/HR person to cover for a medical leave. This role is for 8-10 weeks, working 3 days a week (24 hours total), preferably Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The candidate will be required to be onsite on Mondays for payroll processing.

Job Title: Accounting Manager/HR (Part-Time)

Location: Kingwood, NJ 08825

Salary: $35-38/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Tasks:

    • Record day-to-day financial transactions
    • Complete postings and journal entries
    • Reconcile GL accounts and bank reconciliations at the end of the month
    • Process biweekly payroll using ADP for exempt and nonexempt employees
    • Monitor employee timesheets and report to the Owner
    • Update Excel spreadsheet for PTO for 22 employees
    • Assist AR and AP departments
    • Handle ad hoc requests from the Owner, primarily related to payroll and journal entries
  • HR Tasks:

    • Perform ad hoc HR tasks such as workers comp claims
    • Note: Employee relations tasks are not included

Requirements:

  • Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software (Sage 300 experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in ADP for payroll processing
  • Strong Excel skills for updating PTO records
  • Ability to handle various accounting and HR tasks efficiently
  • QuickBooks experience will not translate well for this role

Schedule:

  • 3 days a week (24 hours total)
  • Onsite Mondays for payroll processing
  • Preferred schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
