Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Knoxville, TN
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Knoxville. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and supporting overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain accurate records.
Prepare and process timely payments to vendors and service providers.
Resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payment records.
Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address payment inquiries.
Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for accounts payable documentation.
Assist with other accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of general accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
