Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Knoxville, TN
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a dedicated team in Knoxville. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, monitoring customer payments, and maintaining accurate financial records to ensure consistent cash flow for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and inquiries.

  • Process customer payments and apply them to respective accounts.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports related to accounts receivable.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of accounts receivable transactions.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth billing and payment processes.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Assist with additional accounting duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
