Job Posting: Medical AR Specialist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Position: Medical AR Specialist (Contract to Hire)

Hourly Rate: $17 - $19 per hour

About Us: Join a dynamic and growing team in the heart of Knoxville, TN! We are a reputable healthcare organization seeking a dedicated Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to manage and streamline our medical collections process.

Role Overview: As a Medical AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding payments, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies. This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing the potential for long-term career growth within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review accounts receivable aging reports to identify and address overdue accounts.
  • Communicate with patients and insurance companies to follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Process and post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.
  • Resolve billing and collections issues, including researching and correcting errors.
  • Maintain detailed records of collections activities and patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate claims submissions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to patients regarding their accounts and payment plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in medical collections or accounts receivable within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Pay Details: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
