Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounting Clerk to join our team for a contract position from April through July. This individual will assist the accounting department with various accounting tasks and ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Help process payroll and maintain employee records.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding billing inquiries.

  • Assist in general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.

  • Help with bank and credit card reconciliations.

  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or clerical role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time position (approximately 20-25 hours per week).

  • Flexible hours between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
