Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Escrow Title Assistant to join our team on-site from 7:30am to 5:30pm with flexibility on start and end times within this range located in Lake Mary, FL! This position is integral to supporting timely escrow closings and title recordings. The ideal candidate will conduct title research, prepare title files and documents, investigate tax records, and provide exceptional customer service. This role does not anticipate overtime and requires 100% on-site presence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the title industry; commercial title experience is a plus.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Skills:

    • Title Insurance

    • Closings

    • Auditing legal documents

    • Excellent verbal and written communication

    • Strong customer service orientation

    • Strong detail orientation

    • Clerical and documenting skills

Additional Information:

  • Work Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm, with flexible start and end times within this range. Choice of a 30-minute or 1-hour lunch break. No overtime anticipated.

  • Work Environment: 100% on-site with no opportunity for remote or hybrid work.

  • Potential for Extension: This position has the potential for extension and can transition from temporary to permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clerical Support: Perform clerical tasks to support timely escrow closings and title recordings.

  • Title Research: Conduct title research to compile the chain of title and create title files, documenting all research.

  • Document Preparation: Prepare endorsements, supplemental documents, and legal property documents such as endorsements and supplementals.

  • Tax Records Investigation: Investigate and interpret tax records to determine tax liability.

  • Customer Service: Provide customer service to customers and field escrow offices, interpreting and acting on instructions from customers and title officers.

  • Audit and Accuracy: Audit calculations and legal documents for accuracy.

  • File and Record Maintenance: Use research to create and maintain files, records, and reports, and communicate recording information.

  • Policy and Practice Compliance: Follow title practice regarding the issuance of title commitments, policies, endorsements, guarantees, and property price endorsements.



Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
