LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Textile Product Developer who is passionate about the luxury textile industry. This role supports a team of other passionate and dynamic Designers. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a company that is continuously growing and offers the possibility of upward mobility down the line. This role will be fully in office.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of new textile products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with the brand’s luxury standards.
Collaborate with design teams to translate creative concepts into tangible products, considering factors such as fabric selection, texture, and finish.
Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for all textile products.
Conduct regular quality assessments during various stages of production, ensuring that all products meet the brand's high expectations.
Work closely with mills and suppliers to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in color across all product lines by working closely with the dyeing and finishing teams.
Oversee the selection and procurement of fabrics, ensuring they meet the brand’s specifications for luxury and exclusivity.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality materials within budgetary constraints.
Provide technical guidance on fabric construction, dyeing techniques, and finishing processes to ensure the final product meets design and quality requirements.
Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of industry trends and innovations.
Identify opportunities for new product development and enhancements to existing products, keeping the brand at the forefront of the luxury textile industry.
Manage product development timelines, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to streamline the development process.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in textile product development, preferably within the luxury textile industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Design, or a related field.
Experience working with high-end textile mills and luxury brands.
Expertise in color theory and trend analysis.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Hours:
8:00am-5:00pm
Monday through Friday
