LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Education Intuition. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Clients Team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee key financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role is essential in managing general ledger activities, leading month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting the institution’s financial compliance and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background, preferably with experience in Higher Education and/or Non-Profit organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and internal reports.

• Manage general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations.

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual financial audit.

• Provide auditors with required documentation and respond to audit inquiries.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Experience with accounting systems and financial software.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Prior experience in Higher Education or Non-Profit sectors is highly desirable.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000/Yearly
