We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to manage the sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of materials and supplies essential for our projects.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in procurement, especially within the construction industry, and possess AutoCAD skills to assist in reviewing, drafting, and interpreting design specifications and technical plans. This role requires a collaborative individual with strong communication and organizational abilities, who can work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Pay range: $25-32

Contract to hire

Location: Fully on-site in Livermore, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and competitive pricing.

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from order placement to delivery.

  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to ensure timely availability of materials.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand project requirements and specifications.

  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.

• AutoCAD Utilization:

  • Review and interpret design plans and specifications using AutoCAD.

  • Assist in selecting materials that align with technical specifications and project needs.

  • Draft material parts and provide feedback to design teams on material options and availability.

• Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.

  • Prepare and analyze purchasing reports to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and procurement efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the construction industry.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
