Behavioral Health Billing Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Behavioral Health Billing Specialist for our nonprofit client located just west of Los Angeles. This position will be 100% onsite and a contract-to-hire opportunity for our client.

This position will be a part of a collaborative team within the medical billing department and will focus on full cycle billing for our client's mental health billing sector. Interested candidates must be knowledgable about billing to the Department of Mental Health and understanding of all insurance payers, including MediCal.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years medical/behavioral health billing required

• Experience working within EMR systems required, Exym experience strongly desired

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially phone correspondence

• Strong ability to work well independently and adapt to different tasks throughout the day, as well as collaborate with the team as needed

• Knowledge and understanding of the DMH and MediCal insurance

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Ability to critically analyze and problem-solve with little to no guidance
