Contract Litigation Attorney

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Remote)

Pay Rate: Up to $85/hour

Position Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time or Part-Time

LHH is working with a respected boutique law firm seeking a Contract Litigation Attorney to support its growing Lemon Law defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex, substantive litigation work within a collaborative and well-supported legal team. Ideal candidates will have a solid foundation in civil litigation defense, excellent legal writing skills, and the ability to contribute meaningfully from day one. This is a hands-on litigation role that involves significant motion practice, legal analysis, and case strategy development. The firm handles a wide range of Lemon Law and warranty-related matters, offering attorneys the opportunity to work on challenging, fast-evolving cases with a focus on achieving strong results for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions, including MSJs and demurrers

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case evaluations

• Prepare and respond to discovery

• Participate in court appearances, mediations, and depositions as needed

• Collaborate closely with supervising attorneys and legal staff to ensure timely and effective case management

Qualifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills

• Experience drafting substantive motions and managing cases through discovery

• Ability to work independently while remaining communicative and team-oriented

• Prior experience in Lemon Law or consumer warranty litigation is highly preferred, but not required
