Title: Litigation Paralegal

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, 3 days in office, 2 days from home a week

Job Description:

A prestigious national law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Trial Paralegal to join their Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex product liability and class action cases through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support in case management and trial preparation, including organizing documents, preparing witnesses, and managing exhibits.

  • Draft and file various legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, responses, motions, and subpoenas.

  • Handle large volumes of documents, conduct detailed document reviews, and assist with e-discovery processes.

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, clients, vendors, and opposing counsel during case preparation and trial.

  • Serve as a crucial support member during trial, overseeing exhibits, logistics, and courtroom technology.

  • Conduct legal research, draft case summaries, and maintain case-related databases.

  • Offer post-trial support, including preparing settlement documentation and organizing final case materials.

  • Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures and court rules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on product liability and class action cases (experience in the automotive industry is advantageous).

  • Extensive trial preparation and courtroom experience.

  • Proficiency in legal software and e-discovery tools (e.g., Lexis, Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector).

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours during trial periods.
