Grants Writer
Location: Remote ( Los Angeles, CA)
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Writer to join our mission-driven team. This role is pivotal in securing and managing funding from government, foundation, corporate, and community sources. You’ll be responsible for writing compelling grant proposals, managing compliance and reporting, and collaborating across departments to ensure the success of our fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Write, report, and monitor expenditures and compliance for all grants.
Oversee internal and external communications related to grants.
Collaborate with the Development Director to plan and support fundraising strategies.
Craft persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports aligned with organizational goals.
Cultivate and manage donor relationships to meet fundraising objectives.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation and compliance with funding guidelines.
Conduct ongoing research on funding opportunities and maintain organized records.
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Contracts, HR, and Program teams to align grant activities with organizational operations.
Qualifications
2–3 years of professional experience in grant writing, research, and management.
Proven success in developing and executing grant campaigns.
Experience with government grants (federal, state, county, and/or city).
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and quality.
Collaborative spirit with a commitment to shared leadership and cross-functional teamwork.
