About the Role:
LHH is working with a law firm seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join the fast-paced business litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles.
This role supports attorneys with a wide range of administrative and legal tasks and requires strong knowledge of court procedures, document preparation, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Timely and accurately file litigation documents in arbitrations and state, federal, and appellate courts.
File and serve legal documents including summonses, complaints, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
Manage e-filing processes and coordinate delivery of mandatory chambers copies.
Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, and other litigation events.
Schedule and coordinate remote court appearances.
Draft, revise, and format pleadings, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
Maintain and organize case files—both physical and electronic—using document management systems.
Monitor and report on litigation deadlines; prepare weekly deadline summaries.
Review and route incoming emails to appropriate legal teams.
Communicate professionally with court clerks, clients, and litigation vendors.
Provide backup support to other secretaries and reception staff as needed.
Maintain professionalism and accuracy under pressure and during high-volume periods.
Perform additional administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary, preferably supporting a partner or senior attorney.
Prior civil litigation experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with legal document management systems (Clio and Dropbox a plus).
Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
Strong multitasking and time management skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot basic issues independently.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

On-Site, Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000
PTO: 15 Days, Paid Holidays
Paid parking and transit reimbursement
