Job Title: Legal Executive Assistant
Location: Century City, CA
Hybrid Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days from home
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
Position Summary:
LHH is working with a top Law Firm in Century City, CA to help them find an experienced Legal Executive Assistant. The Legal Executive Assistant will provide high-level legal support to a team of attorneys, offering a wide range of complex technical, document processing, and administrative services across litigation and transactional practice groups. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, technical savvy, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in an organized and efficient manner. This role requires extensive coordination with clients and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, client meetings, and conference calls
Arrange business itineraries and coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys
Process travel reimbursements and maintain calendars and due dates for attorneys
Create, edit, proofread, and process legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, and other practice-specific documents
Maintain legal files (both paper and electronic) and organize documents in designated order
Update case information, scan, and organize legal files
Manage document deliveries and track final executed documentation
Receive and evaluate telephone calls for supported attorneys, fielding calls and conveying messages as necessary
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisons
Collaborate with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals, and other legal support team members
Attend team strategy meetings
Utilize firm resources effectively to achieve desired results
Assist with overflow work and other special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary, working in a business law practice with exposure to litigation
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologies
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, or agency rules of assigned practice group/department (e.g., State and Federal court filing, including e-filings)
Experience with e-filing
Compensation:
The expected pay range for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00, based on qualifications and experience. Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short-term disability, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs may include voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long-term care, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
