Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

Location: Century City, Los Angeles, CA (Can be remote)

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire or Contract, Remote

Pay Rate: $70 to $100 per hour.

LHH is partnering with a local law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense, in seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Lawyer to join their team on a full-time or contract basis

Responsibilities:

1. Litigation Management: Handle a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies. Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.

2. Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law. Draft complex legal documents, including memoranda, motions, and briefs. Provide substantive evaluations of factual and legal issues.

3. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations. Provide timely and strategic legal advice to clients on workers' compensation matters.

Qualifications:

1. Education: JD from a top 100 accredited law school in the US.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Lawyer. Proven success in handling complex litigation matters.

3. Skills: Strong research and writing skills. Excellent litigation skills, with a successful track record. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
