LHH is seeking an Environment, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in the Louisville Metropolitan Area. This is a unique opportunity to join a large EHS team and to oversee the Environment, Health, and Safety program for the manufacturing operation. Compensation ranges from $118,000-130,000 plus bonus and includes very affordable insurance program options, 401K match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of EHS staff and ensure compliance in all areas of EHS.
Oversee hazardous waste management, regulatory reporting, auditing, and spill response readiness.
Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsible for managing hazardous material and oil spill responses.
Complete environmental reporting and ensure compliance with all required regulations and ISO programs.
Complete customer environmental compliance requests as needed.
Oversee root cause analysis for environmental compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain loss prevention programs to reduce and control workplace injuries and hazards.
Conduct accident investigations and complete root-cause analysis and/or gap analysis to identify the source of a safety issue and take necessary action to resolve the problem.
Analyze safety data looking for trends and areas for improvement.
Protect employees, customers, and the environment by identifying and correcting potentially hazardous situations or business practices.
Draft and maintain EHS policies, ensuring compliance for all EHS standards.
Work closely with those at all levels of the organization regarding safety matters.
Perform gap analysis and develop action plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Occupational Health, or Public Health is required
A minimum of 10 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environment is required (candidates from the construction industry will NOT be considered)
Preference toward candidates with safety certifications (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, OSHA, HAZMAT, etc.)
Must be comfortable working with both blue and white collared colleagues
Must be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leader
