About the Company: Our client, a reputable organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join their team.
Overview: The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that the organization acquires the necessary goods and services at the best possible prices. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain a database of approved vendors.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
Stay updated on market trends and industry best practices to make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
1 year of experience in Purchasing or a related field.
Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
