LHH is partering with one of our clients to find an experienced Operations Controller to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience, with a strong background in inventory management and plant operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. While this position does not have direct reports currently, it requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work closely with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the financial aspects of plant operations, including inventory control and cost accounting.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for operational and financial improvements.
Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification preferred.
5-8 years of experience in accounting/finance roles, with a focus on inventory and plant operations.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated career stability with a track record of long-term employment in previous roles.
