Billing Specialist (AR)

Do you have at least two years of billing and/or accounts receivable experience and a desire to join a growing accounting team? Do you have strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills? We are looking for a AR/Billing Specialist for an exciting new job opportunity in Martinez, CA. Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices for construction projects based on contract terms and project milestones.
Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to gather billing information and resolve any discrepancies.
Review contracts and purchase orders to ensure billing compliance with agreed-upon terms.
Verify project costs, labor, and materials to accurately reflect project progress in invoices.
Maintain organized records of billing documents, contracts, and related correspondence.
Address client inquiries regarding billing details, providing clear and professional responses.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and collaborate with the collections team to follow up on overdue payments.
Assist in reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving client billing issues.
Prepare and distribute regular billing reports to project managers and finance leadership.
Stay updated on construction billing regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction billing or a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of construction billing processes is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with project managers and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and meet billing deadlines.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
