Job Title: Patient Accounting Representative

Pay Rate: $25hr to $27hr depending on experience level
In Office/Remote: Remote (must be located in Hawaii)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Job Summary:

Under indirect supervision, the Patient Accounting Representative processes insurance claims, reports, and billing for medical disability benefits. This role involves handling applications from medical/life insurance, processing collections, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Commercial Collections & Follow-Up: Manage and follow up on commercial collections to ensure timely recovery of payments.

• Phone Calls to Insurance Carriers: Make calls to insurance carriers to resolve issues and obtain necessary information.

• Submitting Clinical Documentation: Submit clinical documentation to insurance carriers as requested.

Top Three Skills Needed:

1. Revenue cycle experience

2. Knowledge of medical coding

3. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience
