Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on healthcare finance from the comfort of your home? LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Patient Accounting Representative to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional billing and claims support.


Location: Fully Remote (Flexible in Hawaii)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM HST

Job Summary:

Under indirect supervision, this role involves processing insurance claims, billing, and compensation for patients and members. Responsibilities include handling medical/life insurance applications, collections, compliance with state/federal regulations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of health plan policies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process and audit insurance claims and billing documents.

· Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and providers.

· Collect outstanding payments and manage delinquent accounts.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in internal systems.

· Provide culturally sensitive service and support across departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· At least one (1) year of collections or medical insurance claims processing experience.

· Strong clerical, accounting, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage conflict, adapt to change, and work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Post-secondary coursework in accounting.

· Two (2) years of healthcare collections experience.

· Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT-4, ICD-10-CM coding.

· Experience with EPIC and 10-key by touch.
