- Collaborate with sales to forecast new client and product profitability.
- Enhance financial reporting by integrating data from various sources for actuals, forecasts, and historical analysis.
- Support financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for captive insurance entities.
- Develop and maintain technology solutions for translating financial and insurance data into actionable insights.
- Manage monthly financial close processes, including statement preparation and analysis.
- Handle daily general ledger operations and journal entries, managing cash flow activities.
- Aid external CPAs with the preparation of audited financial statements and tax filings.
- Coordinate with IRS and state regulators during audits.
- Drive process improvement initiatives.
- Model financial scenarios for potential clients as proficiency grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a competitive school demonstrating a strong academic record
- MBA preferred.
- CPA and prior experience in a public accounting.
- Fundamental understanding of GAAP and federal income tax accounting
- 4 - 7 years of experience with a blend of accounting and FP&A responsibilities.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and forecasting
- Operational management experience, including treasury management / banking, procurement, and technology administration a plus.
- Expertise with QuickBooks a plus.
- Advanced skills with MS Excel (CRITICAL SKILL). This includes model creation and maintenance, working with large sets of data, nested formulas, logical functions, dynamic arrays, data visualization, etc. Familiarity with VBA a plus.
- Strong analytic ability with the aptitude to identify trends and inconsistencies.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as work collaboratively within accounting group and across multiple companies.
- Manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills; must be detail-oriented and organized and able to meet frequent deadlines.
