Tax Manager Partnership LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Partnership Tax Manager in the Melbourne, FL area. Our client is looking to bring on a Partnership Tax Managerto provide high-level accounting and tax services. This will be an onsite role with the possibility of going remote in the Melbourne or surrounding area. Responsibilities



  • Supervise the tax department and delegation of tax tasks and responsibilities.


  • Tax preparation


  • Tax planning - develop and implement strategies


  • Tax projections


  • Working with high level accounting


  • Oversee teams


  • Be able to describe operating agreement waterfalls


  • Interpreting legal docs and tax law


  • Review prior year tax-return preparation process, establish time budgets for current year tax return preparation, and prioritize scheduling dates.


  • Handling communication from clients and tax authorities.


  • Evaluate new tax research services, presentation methods (i.e., CD ROM, on-line, etc.), new products, and related hardware and software to keep library materials are available so that tax research and planning ideas may be substantiated.


  • Review and prepare partnership, S-Corporation, Corporate, fiduciary, individual, and gift tax returns.


  • Works with the finance team to manage income tax liabilities of owners and companies.


  • Works with accounting and finance teams to improve financial and accounting processes.


  • Schedules and works with outside tax professionals on a variety of items including financial statement audits and tax returns, tax planning and tax positioning, and estate planning.


  • Document issues concerning positions taken in tax returns.


  • Consult with outside CPA firm to resolve issues and schedule their review of certain tax returns or issues.


  • Verifying tax forms for completeness and accuracy.


  • Securing repeat business and expanding the client base.


  • Maintain records and documentation for planning purposes, to assure compliance in the event of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audit and to provide historical data.


  • Answer inquiries and correspond with IRS or State agencies as questions or issues arise.


  • Train and supervise Tax Processor Coordinator. Delegate compliance tasks to Tax Processor Coordinator.


  • Research and prepare memoranda, analyses, and summaries to document research findings; provide recommendations regarding specific issues or projects.


  • Meeting with clients


  • Basic tracking


  • Conduct weekly one on ones with team members


  • Strong understanding of KPI’s


  • Overseeing client relationships


  • Assist with department goal setting processes


  • Generating financial reports and analysis


Required Qualifications and Skill Sets



  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.


  • Needs 7+ years in tax returns, partnership returns experience is a must as well as OZ Funds (Example: big funds like Goldmans Sachs or Fidelity)


  • Must have a CPA an EA or JB license


  • Construction Industry experience


  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


  • Must be results-oriented and be able to juggle multiple priorities


  • Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.


  • Bachelor degree in accounting


  • Knowledge international financial reporting standards (IFRS)- a plus



Compensation: $120K-$140K
