LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a great company in the Suffolk County area. This role involves managing transportation, ensuring timely deliveries, and working closely with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain and a strong understanding of transportation and inventory management. Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery.
Select and negotiate with carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation services.
Track shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders on delivery status.
Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of products and materials for production and distribution.
Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to manage stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and carriers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
Address and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and increased efficiency.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including import/export requirements and transportation safety standards.
Work closely with the sales, procurement, and production teams to align logistics activities with business needs.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and inventory management software is a plus.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

9:00am-5:00pm
