Job Description: The Medical Billing Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising the billing operations for physician accounts. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely billing, overseeing the billing team, and collaborating with various departments to optimize billing processes. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of medical billing procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the billing team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate billing operations.

  • Oversee the billing process for physician accounts, ensuring all claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Monitor and analyze billing reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with physicians, administrative staff, and other departments to resolve billing issues and optimize billing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to medical billing.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve billing efficiency and reduce claim denials.

  • Conduct regular audits of billing processes and accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare and present reports on billing performance and key metrics to senior management.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in billing regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding, and regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
