Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Mesa, AZ (Onsite)
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Salary Range: $22/hr - $26/hr
We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Mesa, AZ. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team and ample opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Ensure invoices match the correct entities and general ledger coding.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices, purchase orders, or receiving documentation.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice discrepancies or payment inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts payable.
- Provide support for audits and inquiries related to accounts payable as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
