Staff Accountant (Hybrid – Remote with Onsite as Needed in Mesa, AZ)
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Are you an Excel wizard with a strong foundation in accounting and a passion for detailed financial work? We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in a hybrid capacity—working remotely with occasional on-site presence in Mesa, AZ as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze job costing and WIP (Work in Progress) reports

  • Process and file sales tax accurately across multiple jurisdictions

  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity

  • Support forecasting and budgeting activities with accurate data and insights

  • Create and manipulate pivot tables and work confidently in Microsoft Excel

  • Work closely with subcontractors, ensuring compliance and proper documentation

  • Assist with month-end close processes and prepare relevant financial reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas

  • Experience with WIP, job costing, and forecasting

  • Familiarity with sales tax processing and working with subcontractors
