Overview:

LHH is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our client's complex civil litigation team. This hybrid role is crucial in supporting the attorneys and paralegals through various stages of litigation, from pre-trial preparations to post-trial documentation. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing schedules, handling correspondence, organizing case files, conducting research, and preparing legal documents. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic setting are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide extensive support to attorneys and paralegals in litigation cases by managing schedules, organizing meetings, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Draft and handle correspondence, including legal documents, letters, and memos related to litigation cases.
  • Organize and maintain case files, both digitally and physically, ensuring all documentation is accurate and current.
  • Conduct research on case law, legal procedures, and other aspects of litigation.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Assist with billing and administrative tasks related to litigation cases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court officials, and internal team members to support case management and ensure smooth case progression.

Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in complex civil litigation or similar legal roles is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities with a strong emphasis on precision and detail.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Proficient in proofreading to ensure documents are error-free and meet high standards.
  • Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required.

  • Compensation: up to $90,000 annually
