Role Overview: The Legal Assistant will be an integral part of our legal team, providing essential support to our attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of our practice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal field and advance within our firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing cases by drafting and reviewing legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

  • Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases.

  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up-to-date.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and processing mail.

  • Provide general support to the legal team as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
