Credit and Collections Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Credit and Collections Specialist for a great client in Cincinnati Ohio. The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections of outstanding invoices, and assessing credit risk of potential and existing customers. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of recent, relevant experience and have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $24/hr.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment plans with delinquent accounts.
Assess and analyze the creditworthiness of new customers using credit scoring models.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and correspondence in the customer database.
Generate aging reports and inform management of potential write-offs and bad debt risks.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues.
Ensure compliance with the company's credit and collections policies and procedures.
Initiate legal or third-party actions for recovery of outstanding debts, if necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in credit and collections, with a strong understanding of credit laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
MUST have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
