LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a dynamic and experienced accounting professional ready to elevate their career in Milpitas, CA. This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of converting to a permanent role. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business environment and demonstrate the flexibility needed to succeed in an innovative company. This role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with a geographically and culturally diverse financial team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of various financial reports and reconciliations.

  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with established internal controls.

  • Contribute to corporate initiatives related to process improvements and support transformational projects to achieve best-in-class results.

  • Prepare journal entries and account analysis for US general ledger accounts, including prepaid expenses, cloud computing arrangements, restructuring, goodwill, and intangible assets.

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.

  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis.

  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules for management, providing commentary and noting changes from prior periods.

  • Support cross-functional teams with journal entry posting and account analysis.

  • Oversee the global account reconciliation process and conduct periodic quality reviews.

  • Conduct global accounting team training on best practices for reconciliations and other key accounting topics.

  • Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.

  • Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with the accounting transformation team to build scalable and transformational processes.

  • Assist in audit activities with internal and external auditors.

  • Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting within a publicly traded company.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX 404(b) compliance.

  • Experience with global financial systems, preferably Oracle and SAP.

  • Demonstrated experience with process and system automation.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of detail and quality, and adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.

  • Passion for implementing technology and executing process improvements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Active CPA license is preferred.
