LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly organized and experienced Immigration Paralegal with a strong background in I-9 compliance for a confidential client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic legal team and contribute to critical immigration processes.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
Conduct thorough reviews and audits of I-9 forms to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Maintain and organize immigration case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including affidavits, petitions, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for immigration filings.
Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery, and review documents for relevance and privilege.
Assist in the preparation of immigration-related presentations and training materials for clients.
Monitor and track the status of immigration cases and provide regular updates to clients and attorneys.
Stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an immigration paralegal, with a focus on I-9 compliance.
Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, particularly related to I-9 forms.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
