We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our distribution company in Monroe, NJ, on a temporary basis. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting team during a medical leave period.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Monroe, NJ

Pay Rate: $23-$26 per hour

Job Type: Temporary Assignment (3-6 months, covering medical leave)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Handle data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
