Job Posting: Business Analyst III – Business and Corporate Development Manager

Pay: $92hr to $114hr depending on experience level
Role Title: Business and Corporate Development Manager
Duration: 6 Months
Work Location: Mountain View, CA - Hybrid (Tues-Thurs in the office, Mon & Fri remote)
Work Schedule: Normal PST business hours, Monday - Friday

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Liaison Role: Act as the key liaison between internal teams and external partners. Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to proactively identify new opportunities, explore options for accelerating impact, assess risks and ethical considerations, and initiate or advance engagements.

  • Assessment and Identification: Conduct inward-looking assessments to identify gaps and assets that could be addressed by external opportunities.

  • Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and analyze partnerships, report findings to stakeholders, and evaluate new inbound opportunities.

  • Negotiation: Negotiate agreements with external partners for joint research, licensing technology and datasets, and acquiring assets.

  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues across company to pursue and develop partnership opportunities.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Partnership Support: Assist ongoing partnership discussions and collaborate with Research and Engineering teams to shape requirements.

  2. Opportunity Analysis: Track and analyze opportunities, gather information, and work with cross-functional teams to shape engagements.

  3. Stakeholder Consultation: Consult with relevant stakeholders to ensure that both short-term and long-term priorities are up-to-date.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in business development and research partnership management within a high-growth tech environment.

  • Track Record: Proven success in commercializing datasets and/or related technologies and negotiating research partnerships in either academic or corporate research settings.

  • Skills: Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with researchers and engineers.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and reasoning skills to structure deals and address technical, contractual, and financial issues.

  • Passion: Genuine excitement about our mission and AI/Machine Learning.

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.

  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with large-scale datasets and/or machine learning.

  • Advanced Education: A PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience would be advantageous.



Pay Details: $92.00 to $114.00 per hour
