Job Title: Senior Accountant

Salary: $95,000

Location: Mundelein, IL 60060

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Job Description:

  • Join our corporate accounting team and assist in the oversight of general accounting operations, including controlling and validating financial transactions.

  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures.

  • Combine strong analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of accounting processes.

  • Focus on the integrity of statutory/GAAP compliant financial data through the establishment of effective internal accounting controls and documentation of policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate the delivery of increasingly automated financial reports and metrics.

  • Ensure robust auditable account reconciliations.

  • Support interim and year-end audit preparation, taxes, statutory/GAAP research, and other projects as assigned.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience researching and documenting adopted positions a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, timely results with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Manufacturing and/or distribution experience a plus.

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, and proficient skills in Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with team members and operating constituents.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Transparent, accountable, and collaborative.

  • High energy contributor who leads by example and takes on challenges with a positive attitude.

  • Adaptable/Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in occasionally ambiguous situations.
