LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Fleet & Maintenance Manager to join our client in Nashville, TN! The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in equipment and maintenance, with a strong focus on mid-duty trucks such as Ford F600s and Dodge Rams 5500. This role requires a deep understanding of maintenance and repair, including Cummins analysis, transmissions, and hook lift hoists.

  • Location: Nashville, TN

  • Position: Fleet & Maintenance Manager

  • Type: Direct Hire

  • Compensation: $75,000-$85,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organizing, and supervising the maintenance staff and functions. This includes inspecting, repairing, and performing pre- and post-servicing on equipment (mid-duty trucks, primarily Ford F600s and Dodge Rams 5500.)

  • Conduct analysis and manage transmissions and hook lift hoists.

  • Review daily inspection sheets.

  • Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department.

  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.

  • Implement workplace safety polices and standards.

  • Understand and troubleshoot hydraulic power take-off (PTO) systems.

  • Diagnose issues over the phone and provide actionable suggestions.

  • Utilize contacts to manage out-of-state breakdowns and coordinate necessary repairs.

  • Communicate effectively with dealers and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Maintain general trucking knowledge and stay updated with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in equipment and maintenance.

  • Extensive knowledge of mid-duty trucks.

  • Proficiency in Cummins analysis, transmissions, and hook lift hoists.

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and PTO systems.

  • Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to provide remote support.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage dealer relationships.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily on-site, with some remote work flexibility.

    • MUST be local to Nashville, TN.
