Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team. Working closely under attorney supervision, the Paralegal will handle various substantive legal tasks, including document drafting, legal research, trial preparation, and case coordination.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and case assessments

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appellate materials

  • Communicate with court clerks and government agencies regarding procedures

  • Analyze and document local filing requirements for upcoming submissions

  • Manage case logistics: hearings, deadlines, calendars, and file organization

  • Maintain and update pleadings and discovery indexes

  • Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices

  • Support attorneys with discovery, including document productions

  • Assist in all phases of trial preparation and case settlements

  • Review and index medical records; redact documents for production

  • Schedule and prepare materials for depositions

  • Handle electronic filing and document retrieval via state/federal court sites

  • Bates-label and organize document productions

  • Track client documents and maintain an active list of case assignments

  • Participate in team meetings to review case strategy and timelines

  • Calendar deposition deadlines and manage follow-ups (errata, confidentiality)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business or a related field

  • ABA-accredited Paralegal Certificate

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a litigation-focused legal environment

  • Strong understanding of legal research methods and best practices

  • Proficiency in:

    • Microsoft Word & Outlook

    • LexisNexis & Westlaw

    • PACER (required)

    • Relativity (required)

  • Exceptional legal writing and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
