LHH is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer Design Manager with an extensive background in Project Management, stormwater/site development and/or transportation for a full-time position in Nashville, TN.
The ideal candidate will have prior involvement with managing a multidiscipline staff with multiple projects and clients simultaneously. The candidate should have experience in site development projects, transportation projects or other relevant disciplines. We are looking for a driven individual who will work with the Design team and can show experience with their leadership capabilities.
Civil EngineerResponsibilities and Duties:
Project Management
Communicate with engineering staff, private developers, and government clients.
Prepare engineering or technical computations and prepare design solutions.
Oversee technical aspects and budgets of multiple projects with multiple engineering disciplines.
Have a working knowledge of CAD platforms along with Bentley Products or Civil 3D.
Review construction documents including demolition plans, layout plans, erosion control plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management, utilities, site details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysis, etc.
Be ready to move into the management of the company.
Civil Engineer Required Experience:
B. S. in Civil Engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program
Professional Engineering License in TN
10+ years’ experience
Working knowledge of principles and practices
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley Open Roads and/or Microstation software packages
Capable of using Microsoft Office suite with excellent communication skills.
Team-oriented; excellent communication skills to work with team with leadership qualities.
Valid Driver’s License. Must qualify under company auto insurance program.
