LHH is looking for a Senior Accountant for a full-time position in Nashville, TN. The Senior Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information including preparation of detailed accounting analyses and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

This ideal candidate will possess technical and analytical skills and be a reliable and dedicated team player who has great communication skills while providing strong accounting fundamentals.

• Responsible for weekly cash reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, understanding the root cause, and working collaboratively to resolve open items

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed

• Maintain an accurate accounting ledger by posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP accrual accounting standards and understanding the P&L and Balance Sheet impact

• Manage the credit card reconciliation and reporting process by holding brands accountable to deadlines and ensuring proper support for balances

• Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies throughout the close process

• Be a leader amongst the team in providing support for various audits

• Perform testing on system upgrades and a future ERP integration

• Manage forward momentum of projects alongside day-to-day responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with the accounting team and brand accounting leads

• Be an active participant in training sessions and meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting

• Experience in multi-location entities and remote working relationships

• Advanced level Microsoft Office suite skills, primarily Outlook and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)

• Quickbooks experience, as well as more sophisticated ERPs

• Experience in landscaping, construction, manufacturing, or comparable service businesses is advantageous
