LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Media/Entertainment company to fill a temporary Accountant position in New York, NY. This position will work under an Accounting Manager and will be joining a team of five. This role is expected to be 4+ months with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities:
Perform a credit card reconciliation cleanup as your first project
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Conduct account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
Preparing and posting journal entries
Assisting with Accounts Payable on an as-needed basis
Collaborate with the Accounting team to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate financial reports and provide ad-hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of experience in general accounting
Strong reconciliation and Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups)
Location: Midtown, Manhattan near Grand Central (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Job Type: Temporary | estimated 4+ months with potential extension
Dress Code: Business Casual
