Accounts Receivable & Deduction Analyst
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Consumer Product Manufacturing/Wholesale company to fill a temporary Accounts Receivable & Deductions Analyst position. This position is expected to last for 4 - 5 months. We are searching for a candidate with 2+ years of Collections, Cash Applications, and Deductions experience that can start a new role quickly! Please read on for additional details.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing and processing incoming payments (ACH, lockbox, physical checks, credit card, wire transfers) and applying to associated customer accounts
Investigating misapplied or unapplied payments and working to apply accurately
Preparing aging reports and assisting with collection efforts (phone calls, reminder emails)
Preparing reports on collection activity to review with management and escalate if necessary
Investigating any deductions or short payments that come in ; Working with warehouse, logistics, and customer to ensure a deduction is valid before processing a credit memo
Disputing invalid deductions and tracking customer deduction activity for reporting purposes
Updating customer account information and referring to contract terms on file when reviewing payments
Qualifications:
Previous AR and Deductions experience required (ideally 2+ years)
Previous experience in a Consumer Product company highly preferred
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables/vlookups
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred
Schedule:
3 days in office, 2 days remote in Midtown, Manhattan
Hours:
9 - 5 PM, can work up to 40 hours per week
Occasional OT as needed, but not extensive
Employment Type:
Temporary, 4 -5 months
