Job Summary:
Manage and record all incoming gifts and donations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Collaborate closely with the development team, finance department, and donors to maintain accurate records and provide timely acknowledgments.
Key Responsibilities:
Gift Processing: Accurately record and process all incoming gifts and donations, including checks, credit card payments, online donations, and other forms of contributions.
Reconciliation: Reconcile gift records with bank statements and financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on gift receivables, donor contributions, and fundraising progress for internal stakeholders.
Data Management: Maintain and update the donor database with accurate and current information, including contact details, gift history, and communication preferences.
Compliance: Ensure all gift processing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Cash Receipts Reconciliation: Reconcile cash receipts to the general ledger and manage T&E activity, including credit card reconciliation and ensuring company compliance.
Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to support fundraising initiatives and provide financial insights and analysis.
Audit Support: Assist with the preparation of documentation and reports for annual audits and other financial reviews.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a not-for-profit organization.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in accounting software and donor management systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
