Accounts Payable Accountant Consultant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-respected organization to fill a Accounts Payable Accountant Consultant role based in Downtown Manhattan. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and adaptable professional to join a collaborative finance team. The office is conveniently located and easily accessible by multiple transit lines. Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner

• Support the entry and tracking of payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers

• Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable and vendor transactions

• Review and post employee expenses using internal systems

• Participate in semi-monthly and monthly reporting tasks

• Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger updates

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in AP workflows and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting support

• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems is a plus

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset

30-36/hr
