Job Summary:

The Finance Support Specialist will provide comprehensive support to the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) in all areas of finance, including corporate reporting, financial planning and analysis, taxation, and budget preparation/forecasting. This role ensures that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and that internal policies and controls are adhered to.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare financial statements and both internal and external reporting packages.

  • Oversee corporate and field monthly closing processes and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Supervise general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

  • Supervise and prepare journal entries, including tax and allocation entries.

  • Review and prepare foreign currency transaction/translation entries.

  • Oversee related party transactions, including intercompany, intracompany, investment in subsidiaries/joint ventures, and eliminations.

  • Manage corporate processes related to cash transactions, accounts receivable, prepaids, fixed assets, equity, accounts payable, accruals, and deferred tax accounts.

  • Substantiate and review new supplier/vendor/service provider setup documents.

  • Substantiate and review expenditures and expense reports for accuracy.

  • Manage and assist with financial audits.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial analyses, outlooks, and forecasts.

  • Collaborate with corporate department managers and staff to develop budgets and business plans.

  • Manage accounting procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls, including company policies, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

  • Audit workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized.

  • Prepare internal reports and work on special projects as requested.

  • Assist with hiring, training, and managing staff.



Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
