Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator for a temp-to-perm position in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate information.
- Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve benefits-related issues.
- Maintain and update employee benefits records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and distribute benefits-related communications, including open enrollment materials and summary plan descriptions.
- Assist in the planning and execution of open enrollment periods, including employee education and support.
- Conduct benefits orientation for new hires and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Generate and analyze benefits reports to monitor utilization and identify trends.
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
- Strong understanding of benefits plans, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Additional Information:
- This is a temp-to-perm position, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
- Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Located onsite in New York, NY.
